A Junior Marksmanship & Safety program will be held at the Northwestern CT Sportsman’s Association on Rt. 44 in Colebrook. The program will run for five weeks on Thursday evenings, starting at 5:30.
This program is for ages 10 thru 17. Parents are asked to accompany their children.
Class nights are as follows,
Thursdays, June 11th, 18th & 25th, Thursdays, July 9th & 16th
Certified shooting instructors will be on hand to show the youngsters how to safely handle, load, and shoot .22 caliber target rifles.
Please note that youngsters do not have to have any prior shooting experience.
All firearms, ammunition, and safety equipment will be provided free of charge.
Some of the topics covered over the five-week course are: range safety, shooting positions (standing, sitting & prone), controlled breathing, firearm cleaning & storage.
The Northwestern CT Sportsman’s Association makes this program possible.
This program is designed to give the youngsters an enjoyable shooting experience while teaching them to be a disciplined & responsible shooter.
